授業の内容(Course Description) |

This course will trace the history of the development of the United States from the late 19th century up to the present (second of a two course sequence). In addition to the history of the country, the course will deal with American culture and values. Lectures will be given in English appropriate to the typical English language level of the students in the course.

The objective of the course is to increase students’ knowledge of the United States, including the country’s history, culture, and values. In addition, the course is designed to improve English language skills.

成績評価方法(Grading Policy) |
|
Final grades are calculated on the basis of 50% for class participation and 50% for the final exam.

Class participation grades are based on attendance, active participation in class, quality of work, effort, and attitude. The final exam, given during the last class, will cover all of the class work of the semester.
