Practice of listening and speaking English. Lessons focus on a variety of everyday topics. Some attention is given to understanding “casual English” as it is spoken by native speakers of English. Active participation, including interaction among class participants, is required. (Two course sequence.)

Students will work together in pairs and groups during listening and speaking exercises to improve their basic English skills.
Students will be assigned one group project (to be presented in class during week 6 【第６回】) and one individual project (to be completed before week 15 【第15回】).
