This course will trace the history of the development of the United States from the late 19th century up to the present as a basis for understanding American culture and values. Lectures will be given in English appropriate to the typical English language level of the students in the course. (Second of a two course sequence.)

|
The objective of the course is to increase students’ knowledge of the United States, including the country’s history, culture, and values. In addition, the course is designed to improve English language skills.

Final grades are calculated on the basis of 50% for class participation and 50% for the final exam.
