授業の内容(Course Description) |

A two course sequence designed to teach students conversational English. Lessons include a variety of activities intended to encourage students to actively practice conversation in class. Activities will involve students working in pairs as well as groups. Since the course sequence is intended to meet individual student needs, significant class participation is required. In the second term of this course the students will continue to participate in activities designed to improve their conversational skills, listening comprehension and clarity of speech. (Second of a two course sequence)

授業の到達目標(Course Objectives) |
|
The objective of this course is to improve the English speaking and listening skills of students. Through various kinds of speaking and listening tasks, students are expected to learn to pronounce correctly, to expand vocabulary and to understand grammar structures. By the end of this semester, students should be able to develop more effective listening skills, acquire the ability to express themselves more effectively, and enhance the ability to better understand spoken English.
