1. 授業の内容(Course Description)
In this class, students will have a chance to learn about, consider, and use American English in both daily life and business situations. Students will have an opportunity to participate in discussions about how to use English in various situations as well as learn how to manipulate the English language to communicate both effectively and concisely. Students are expected to participate in class, do all assignments, as well as pass all assessments.

授業の到達目標(Course Objectives)
It is aim of this course that all students will finish this class with a deeper understanding of cultural differences as they pertain to Japan and the United States. Students will finish the course with an expanded repertoire of English phrases, vocabulary, and speaking strategies to use in their future. Students will be given a chance to improve their casual communication skills, business vocabulary, and English speaking strategies during this course.

成績評価方法(Grading Policy)
Attendance(出席): 0% (Students must attend all tests and attend a minimum of 10 classes.)
Participation(参加度): 50% (Participation: practicing and being active in all class activities.)
Tests / Assignments(試験・課題): 50% (Tests and assignments will be announced in the class.)

学生への要望・その他(Class Requirements)
The students will be required to participate in class by attending a minimum of 10 lectures, practicing with their partner/groups during the class, use the guidelines and instruction of the teacher to produce both scripted and original English, speak English in class when instructed to by the teacher, take all tests, fill out exit cards, and complete any assignments given to the student by the teacher. Exit cards are required at the end of every class (excluding Weeks: 6, 7, 13, and 14) and must be filled out completely.
