Objectives |

This course is intended to provide students with a knowledge of basic German Grammar as well as common daily conversational expressions.

Outline |
|
The course progresses according to the table of contents. Firstly, in “the Grammar Corner” students are expected to learn grammatical points in each chapter. Secondly, “the Expression Corner” requires them to practice reading aloud, expressions that are frequently used in daily conversation. Thirdly, “the Exercise Corner” requires students to do some exercises made up of ‘fill-in-the-blank questions’ and others for listening comprehension to assess whether students have already grasped the grammatical points. Finally, as an overall exercise, in “the Conversation Corner” students are asked to understand the meaning of each sentence in the text and then join in the conversation to play a particular role in the dialogue until they have learned several important expressions in it by heart.
