To understand the basic function and a target function of various devices on the automobile. Moreover, to learn to understand the diagnostic approach to analyze the failure of various automobile devices.

The following contents are studied.
(1) Diagnosis of the cause of failure.
(2) Case study of the failure diagnosis related to starting devices, electronically controlled systems of the engine, fuel devices, charging equipment, electronically controlled automatic transmissions, and anti-lock brake systems.
