Objectives
In this course students will study the earth’s environmental issues at large, from investigating their causes to find their remedies. Our final goal is to learn the remedies for the environmental issues and practice them in our daily life.
2.
Outline
We will study the earth’s environmental issues in general in this course; the areas covered include near-earth inter-planetary space, water bodies (oceans, rivers, underground water systems), atmosphere (acid rain, smog, PM particles), forests, and agricultural fields among others. Special emphasis is placed on global warming due to an excessive amount of CO2 emissions as well as emphasis on Fukushima Nuclear Power Station's radiation hazards.
