Objectives |
|
The aim of this course is to acquire the knowledge of the role and structure of various servers which constitute the Internet, and the skill of building those servers. Participants will also learn about a operating systems (OS) of the servers, and the usage of the fundamental tools for setting up servers.

Outline |
|
The following topics are treated throughout this course: (1) the fundamental skills for working with Linux, (2) the basic skills for setting up network facilities on Linux, (3) the installation and setting up technique of various servers such as a DNS server, a Web server and a mail server, etc.
In the lessons, students exercise using a virtual machine for his/her private use.
