Objectives
In Museology 4, students will learn how to preserve materials in excellent condition. They will also learn to understand the scientific perspectives of preservation and ideal environments for the collections and learn how to display and store collections in Museums.
<Attainment Objectives>
Students will study the essential aspects of “Museum Preservation” necessary to attain curator qualifications in the future. Students will also learn the actual circumstances of how preservation works in both the fields of Natural and Human Science. They are also required to do research at preservation facilities.

Outline
In this course, the students will learn or acquire basic knowledge and skills as follow:
-The meaning of “Preservation” in Museums.
-How to preserve materials in excellent condition.
-The actual circumstances of preserving collections in Museums.
-The museum’s function in maintaining the preservation environment.
