Objectives |

This course is a general introduction to sociology. The emphasis will be on understanding the concept of social structure and social networks. After completing this course, the student will be able to view human behavior from a sociological perspective.

Outline |
|
Major theoretical concepts and perspectives are presented, including intimacy, public sphere, social interaction, self, media, social networks, memory, place, nation, and globalization. The course will consist of general lectures. Students should participate in class discussions.
