授業の内容(Course Description) |

In this course, students will be given many opportunities to communicate with their peers in a wide variety of situation-based settings. The course will largely benefit students looking to implement what they have learned in previous courses as well as students seeking to expand their vocabulary and speaking strategies. All students will be expected to participate in all group and/or pair work activities to the best of their ability. Although students will be given grammar tips and vocabulary expansion exercises, the primary focus will be utilizing everything in practical situations.

The primary focus for the course will be communication. The students will be provided speaking opportunities each week in controlled settings which is aimed to help students better understand what they will be learning. The goal of the course is to give students the necessary tools to allow them to speak appropriately in a variety of practical settings.

Mid-Term Exam: 25% Final Exam: 40% Assignments: 20% Participation and Attendance: 15%

学生への要望・その他(Class Requirements) |
|
It is mandatory that you attend a minimum of 10 classes and that you participate in all activities during each class. All tests must be taken on the day and time of the test unless prior arrangements to take the test at another time have been made with the teacher. All homework assignments must be submitted on the due date as instructed by the teacher. Failure to do so will result in a 25% per week deduction unless adequate documentation is provided by the student (train slip, doctor’s note, etc.) Students arriving more than 20 minutes late will not be rewarded for attendance nor participation unless adequate documentation is provided.
