Course Description |

In Japan, the total scale of the public services (i.e., police, education, roads, water supply and sewerage systems, etc.) provided by the Central Government and the local governments accounts for 40% of the national income (cf; 30% in the United States, 50% in Germany). Public finance is an academic field which studies this “public economy.” This lecture is designed as the latter part of an introductory course to learn basic knowledge of public finance.
