Course Description |

This course will examine cultural exchange as a form of public diplomacy. Students will trace the history of Japanese public diplomacy from Meiji to the present. The course will then examine why Japanese government and institutions view cultural exchange as an effective way to promote desired images abroad.This lecture will be taught and assessed in Japanese.
