Course Description |
|
The purpose of this course is to explore the ideas and history of the languages and cultures in the world. The major themes are: characters of language; theoretical approach to Japanese language study; history of languages and letters; globalisation and language; major theories of linguistic study; hieroglyphic and alphabet; letter-system of the Japanese language; the origin of the Japanese language, Kojiki, Nihonshoki and Manyoshuu.
