Course Description |

This class reads Manyoshu（萬葉集）. Manyoshu is the oldest collection of Japanese poetry. It consists the 4516 numbered Japanese poems in 20 volumes were compiled in Nara period(710-784). The collection is one of the most important anthology in Japan. And we can know the japanese ancient culture in Manyoshu. This class aims at studying the method of Waka（和歌Japanese poems) through reading Manyoshu.
The class at the spring semester reads vol.1-2 in Manyoshu.
