Course Description |

Globalization and transition to information-oriented society result in fundamental transformation of Japanese and world economy. It is very necessary for everyone to have an ability to read and understand economic news and reports in the newspapers and in the economic magazines, such as ‘Economist’, ‘Toyokeizai’ and ‘Diamond’etc. In this course of introduction to economics, we study basic concepts and theories of Micro- and Macro-Economic Theory to think like an economist, act positively and make reliable economic forecasts in continuously changing economic environments. In this introduction to economics I, we mainly study Micro-Economic Theory.
