Course Description |

This seminar designed to give students theoretical and practical experiences of mathematics in elementary school level. It will be occur mathematics education based on national curriculum, teacher guidebook as well as students textbooks.
Throughout the course the emphasis is on the following learning objectives: to examined methods of teaching mathematics in practice, to analysis how students learn mathematics, to describe the cultural and historical background of math lesson in Japanese schools, and to investigate how teachers try to learn from each other to improve math in school and related it with daily life.
