Course Description |

The purpose of this junior seminar is to instruct students skills required to write effective papers through careful reading, thinking and research. By comparing the originals and translations of works in literature and film, students will learn how to analyze different modes of expression as appropriate to context. They will also learn how to make use of the library by going through reference material in database and in paper-bound books. Students are also required to hand in papers at the end of the term after presenting their research outcome in front of the class. Good attendance is preresquisite.
