Objectives |

This course plainly introduces several topics in the advanced fields of biosciences, environmental sciences and chemistry. The major aim of this course is to present an opportunity for students to obtain a basic knowledge of every branch of the biosciences. Upon successful completion of this course, students will have gained a fundamental understanding of biosciences.

Outline |
|
This course is an omnibus style lecture, and will be plainly presented by each member of the teaching staff in the Department of Biosciences. Topics covered in this course include subjects of biosciences as well as those of environmental sciences and chemistry. Furthermore, since this course provides students with basic knowledge concerning with the individual research themes of the members of the teaching staff, it will be helpful in selecting the graduation research laboratory in the students' fourth year at the university. Therefore, participating in all scheduled lectures is mandatory. A notice of the lecture schedule will be put up on the bulletin board before the beginning of the course.
