Objectives
This course is a general introduction to sociology. The emphasis will be on understanding social problems. After completing this course, the student will be able to view human behavior from a sociological perspective.

Outline
Some of the social problems that confront us today are examined, including medicine, self- determination, family, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, inequality, and cultural reproduction. The course will consist of general lectures. Students should also participate in class discussions.
