Web Syllabus(講義概要)

　In this course, we will study the basic statistics. It consists of three parts and each part is taught by one of following three professors; Taku SUZUKI, Satoru YOKOYAMA, and Shiho YUKAWA.
　Statistics is used in various fields, it is important to understand the basic statistics.
　In the lectures, we will study the fundamental statistics, data visualization, and inferential statistics.
　Furthermore, to understand the real data analysis, we will also study several methods of multivariate analysis.

　Understand
　- the fundamental statistics,
　- the method of the visualization of data,
　- the basic data analysis,
　- the inferential statistics, and
　- the data analysis (multivariate analysis).

　The following percentage breakdown will constitute your final grade.
　Attendance (30％): Each attendance is counted as 2% of your whole performance.
　Quizzes and/or homework (45%): Each part has the Quizzes and/or homework. 15% is assigned to each part.
　Final Exam(25%): Final Exam will be held in last lecture.

　Each professor distributes course materials.

　Review of each lecture is very important.
　Homework will be assigned several times. You must do the homework by next lecture.
