Objectives
This course aims to introduce basic English skills including grammar, vocabulary and conversation skills while building overall confidence in using the English language.

This is a fun and interactive course. During the course, special attention is given to proper pronunciation, building vocabulary and conversation skills.
1. Introduction: Course outline. Course requirements, grading system and class interaction.
2. Health: Discussing healthy lifestyles. Adjectives to describe a healthy lifestyle.
3. Self-improvement: Discussing problems and giving advice. Conversations about how to remember things.
4. In the city: Asking for and giving directions. Talking about directions.
5. Customs: Talking about ways people celebrate holidays. Conversations comparing different customs.
6. Units 9-12 Expansion: Review game units 9-12.
7. Famous People: Talking about celebrities. Types of famous people; expressions to describe famous people.
8. Home, sweet home: Talking about typical and unusual homes. Describing things in a home.
9. Then and now: Talking about childhood memories. Discussing fads; what is in and out of style.
10. The future 1: Talking about achievements and regrets.
11. The future 2: Discussing hopes for the future and predictions.
12. Units 13-16 Expansion: Review game units 13-16.
13. Final Review: Review of all that has been covered. Class presentations.
14. Final Test.
15.Review test: Return test papers and review test.
