Objectives |

This course targets foreign sophomore students and aims at students acquiring the ability (1) to read and write organized sentences and (2) orally express themselves in Japanese.

Outline |
|
The students will acquire a basic command of the Japanese language required for academic purposes, such as listening to lectures and conducting research. Specifically, they will practice discussing, expressing and summarizing the information obtained from documents. Students will perform activities such as group work when needed. They will take a short quiz at the beginning of every class in order to radicate learned vocabulary and expressions. Other things like Japanese idioms, attitudinal expressions, and culture will be incorporated into the contents of the course.
