The atmosphere is a place aircraft is operated. And it is not a uniform and will cause a variety of weather phenomena. Its influence sometimes determine the performance of the aircraft and the propriety of flight. Knowledge of weather is essential for the operator and the designer as well as engineers involved in aviation. In this lecture, the students learn the structure of the atmosphere, atmospheric pressure, generation principle such as wind and so on as a basic knowledge of the weather and acquire knowledge about the weather map and weather reports formula (METAR).
