Objectives |
|
Sensible Engineering is a technique for materializing the human imagination. In other words, it is to translate human imagination into physical design elements. In order to develop this skill, it is essential to understand what sensibility is.
The objective of this course is to understand sensibility. In the second semester, the student will develop his/her understanding by learning communication, visual transmission, and information design. This lecture also deepens his/her understanding in sensibility and Sensible Engineering.

Outline |

This is a lecture course with some hands-on activity.
The student will learn the function of sensibility by understanding a language, an illustration, and a symbol. He/she will identify his/her sense of color by utilizing tonal colored paper, and he/she will learn the illusion through the production of “perceptual transparency”. Through the lectures and activities, the student will study whether these elements influence the acquisition of information, the accuracy of memory, and whether sense of value affects behavior.
Moreover, the student will consider how to organize and design information and to communicate it quickly and accurately.
