Objectives
This course targets foreign freshman students and aims for students to acquire the ability to read and write some degree of organized sentences in Japanese.

Outline
The students will acquire the basic skills required for writing reports and papers at the university. They will be given homework assignments on each lesson’s contents after almost every lesson. At the beginning of the next class, the important points, grammatical errors, etc. from the homework given the previous week will be discussed.
