1.
Objectives
Based on the studies/works in the preceding course, students will continue fieldworks
of “local resources”. In the fieldworks, you will learn methods/techniques on how to gather
materials or to have interviews. In addition to these learnings, students will participate in
meetings of community development of the Nakagawa town. Ultimate goal is to make up a
proposal on revitalization of local community.
2.
Outline
You are expected to find out effective use of local resources which you have found through
studies/researches in the preceding term, including video recording. Local resources you
may find/observe/study will likely cover wider areas of the community, such as traditional
cultures, religious spots such as shrines/temples, art museums, biomass power generation,
community currencies, and rural landscapes. Students may also have opportunities to
learn about organization structures of community development.
Based on these fieldworks, students are expected to bring up a proposal on revitalization of local community. The proposal will be presented at the Community Development Committee of the Nakagawa
town.
