1. Course Description
In this seminar, we will study the present situation and the problems of Asian Economy from the perspective of development economics and history. We will discuss the important issues of Asian society such as poverty and ethnic conflicts. We read the elementary textbooks and articles on this field. Therefore, prerequisite knowledge is not required. But the participants of the seminar have to read the assigned textbooks and articles in advance and to make presentations in class. We wil decide the details of the seminar after the first meeting.
