Course Description |

The subject of this seminar is economy and firm of Europe in the 20th century. Particularly following topics will be treated: Evolution of ideas of European economic integration from the end of the 19th century to the Second World War, integration policy of the UK, France and Germany, birth and evolution of the ECSC/EEC/EC/EU, common policies of the EU, the monetary cooperation, the market integration, the monetary integration and the introduction of Euro, the Euro crisis and current status and issues of the EU. Furthermore, Students should individually make presentations on the EU.
