Course Description |

This course is designed to develop understanding about business history especially in Europe, North America, and Japan after industrial revolution. In each of these areas, we can see large enterprise, ‘modern firm’, which consist of many business units, are organized hierarchically, and governed by professional managers. But there is some great differences among modern firms in each areas. In this course, by using the methodology of comparative history, we will consider the difference among modern firms.
