Course Description |

This course is intended to study various aspects of life and customs in Edo (Tokugawa) period, aiming deeper understanding of Edo culture and Japanese culture in a whole. We will examine such topics as society structure, dwelling, recycling, beliefs, annual events, punishment, and others.
