Course Description |

In order to provide better learning for children, teachers must constantly develop their own ability as professionals. Teacher’s ability is that of giving better lesson first of all. In order to develop ability of lesson, the shortest and most effective way is studying one’s own lessons (or others’ lessons) and finding ways to improvement. However, if lesson study isn’t conduced in an appropriate manner, it comes to ineffective one and become difficult to lead to improvement.
In this lecture, we aim to acquire basic competence to conduct lesson study actually through (1) reviewing history and issues of lesson study and (2) examining actual study cases from a standpoint of “lesson as an interaction.”
