1. Course Description
This is a course on comparative cultural studies, especially Western influences on Modern Japan. By exploring a variety of cultural materials and discussing their topics, students will learn about both cultural similarities and differences between the West and Japan. Students will also be expected to develop their academic skills. In order to complete the course, students will be required to make presentations on the topics in which they are interested and submit a short essay.
