1. Course Description
Following the previous semester, this course examines global issues from ethical perspectives. The first half of the course reviews environmental problems and a negative impact of industrial farming. As the globalization spreads, consumers come to enjoy unprecedented material abundance, however, the globalization may become a threat to social and environmental well-being of individual and communities. The second half of the course analyses the issues of refugees and immigrants and questions a viable global ethos. Through introducing key arguments, this course aims to achieve a deeper understanding on the issues of globalization.
