Course Description |

This class is about basic relationship between society and language. We use language in order to connect with people and society. We will first understand the basic idea and theory in sociolinguistics, such as language variations by social classes, gender, age, or contexts, politeness theory or structure of discourse. We will analyze our daily language use and behavior by working in groups.
