What is " an excellent company?"
This course is designed as an advanced course of Enterprises in Contemporary SocietyⅠ.
Based on our discussions in Enterprises in Contemporary Society Ⅰ, the history of how the needs for corporate governance are born and developed in the United States will be introduced. Then, we will learn how the adaptation of western concepts are made in Japan.
Having learned the history of corporate governance, various cases in relation to the governance matters Japanese corporation have been faced will be introduced. Each decision ,good or bad, was made by management to overcome turbulances in order to be an excellent company..
There is no perfect answer for the managerial issues, therefore, each student will be required to search,think and explain in his/her own words based on independent judgments.
