Outline
 In this class students study the governmental policy of agriculture from various sides. Historical change of policy measures, the differences of the purpose among many countries, the economic influences on agriculture by the free trade principle are big subjects to be discussed.

Objectives
Agricultural policy is one of the most difficult subject to discuss objectively. Most of the people in developped countries believe that it should shrink and cheaper products should be imported from abroad, and farmers feel isolated. In this class the question how a certain policy might change the market mechanism should be discussed objectively.

Marking is done by estimating the performance of the presentation for given subjects and the eagerness to participate in the class.

Necessary documents are given to participants for each class.

Requirements (Assignments)
I recommend to all participants of this class to select a few municipalities in order to collect various information on the circumstances for daily lives and related policies. It is useful to visit underpopulated areas and talk with their inhabitants.
