1. 授業の概要(ねらい)

Global Management Course
“Challenging and Managing for Innovation Strategically learning from Global Wisdoms”

Joint Special Lecture by Cambridge and Teikyo , sponsored by Teikyo Univ.

Including Open Lecture for all Teikyo students on August 9(Thr) 10:45-12:15

 This course is a Joint Special Lecture by Cambridge and Teikyo , sponsored by Teikyo University. Thanks to a visit by an Academic from Cambridge Judge Business School, we focus on a study for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, which is a key driver for success in terms of social and economic growth and evolution, as well as business performance.
All lectures and workshops are given in English .
 In this course, first, we learn through the method and practice used by Cambridge faculty to examine global management that is jointly lectured by Cambridge and Teikyo.
 Second, Increasingly, in today’s fast paced, converging world, sustained innovation is a necessity not only to thrive but also to survive. In this course, we will learn why firms struggle to create and capture new value. Finally, we will share a number of concepts on how to implement innovation in an organization and also society. The aim of the course is to provide a set of concepts as well as practical tools and processes that can be used by managers in their organisations to manage innovation better.

授業の到達目標

 Why is it relevant? What does innovation deliver? It will help you conceptualise what is Innovation on its nature, what the different types of innovation are and how they need to be tackled differently. The course will also discuss how to manage innovation internally and externally (e.g. how to manage projects or harness the power of users in the innovation process). The course will familiarise you with disruptive innovations: What to do about them? How to disrupt an industry? Finally, the course will help you think about the ways in which we can enhance the likelihood of our innovation’s success in the market.

 The final report (or test): 30%
 Workshops and Discussion/ Participation and Contribution:50%
 Class Participation / Your Discipline:20%
