Web Syllabus(講義概要)

The course is for students who plan to be teachers in senior high schools or junior high schools in Japan, and who need to consolidate their ability in terms of their general English and their classroom skills. The course will be mainly focusing on two points:
(1) increasing students' understanding of intercultural communication while improving their English
(2) cultivating students' multiple perspectives and critical thinking
この授業は総合基礎科目の教育目標1、2、3に関連した科目です。

The goals of the course are:
(1) to develop your understanding of effective communication in English
(2) to be able to logically convey your own ideas to others by understanding and respecting diversity

授業参加度（ペア・グループワーク、課題、授業への貢献度など）（40%）、期末試験（60%）
最後の授業で全体に対するフィードバックを行います。

・必ず予習（テキストを読み、わからない単語や表現等を辞書で調べ、内容を理解できなかった箇所については印をつけるなどして明確にしておくこと）を行なった上で授業に臨んでください。
・必要な時間は、受講生の実力によって個人差がありますが、各Unitあたり約30分〜1時間です。

・毎回の授業には必ず辞書（紙の辞書・電子辞書どちらでも可）を忘れずに持参してください。
・教科書や辞書忘れ、授業中の居眠り、予習をしてこない、授業中の携帯電話・スマートフォンの使用を発見した場合は全て減点対象となるので注意してください。
