Outline
The students will learn Japanese expressions, vocabulary and usage required in questioning, communicating, listening to and understanding lectures in class, summarizing the writings on the board in their notebooks, and writing reports. They will also learn the expressions and acquire knowledge of the Japanese language necessary in obtaining information required for smooth communication in daily life outside of the campus. A short quiz concerning the previous lesson will be given at the beginning of every class in order for the students to achieve a stable understanding of the Japanese language.

This course targets foreign freshman students and aims at supporting them in acquiring the basic Japanese communication skills required both on campus and in daily life.
