Outline |

Based on the overall goal of "Method and technology for Education (including utilization of information equipment and teaching materials)" in the teacher's course core curriculum, this course is aimed to acquire basic knowledge and skills related to (1) educational methodology, (2) educational technology, (3) information equipment and teaching materials, necessary to foster the qualities and abilities required for children. Specifically, in order to learn fundamental theories on educational methods and technologies, and to cultivate practical educational ability based on them, the practice of integration of guidance and assessment is developed within the class and various students will learn teaching method, assessment method, lesson form (lecture form, pair work, group work etc.), teaching materials etc. empirically. In addition, students will tackle lesson design based on instructional design and consider how to effectively utilize ICT. Furthermore, LMS will be utilized as appropriate to encourage students themselves to learn autonomously.

(1) Students will be able to state thoughts on appropriate educational methods to achieve educational goals. (2) Students understand the integration of teaching and assessment and discuss active and collaborative learning. (3) Students understand the way of instructional design, and will be able to design classes based on it. (4) Students understand the use of ICT for education and will be able to actually utilize it to develop teaching instruction plans, teaching materials, etc. (5) Students understand that teachers and children and students collaborate to create class (learning) and will be able to tackle improving class.
