Outline |

The aim of this class, which is an introductory course for beginners of Hangul learning, is the mastery of Hangul consonant and vowel tables and basic conversational expressions in Korean through reading, writing, listening and speaking exercises. Audiovisual materials will be frequently utilized to stimulate learners' interest in the culture of the regions where Hangul is used. “The more words you have learned, the greater your world is. So is your possibility.” Therefore, you should start with gaining basic language skills, understand the regions where the language is used, and broaden your horizons.

Objectives |

The goal is for Hangul beginners to master the basic writing system and pronunciation. At the end of the first semester, the learners won't have any difficulty reading subway signs, advertisements or people's names in Hangul notation, even though they do not know the meaning.
