Course Description

This course examines characteristics of Japanese culture using the most typical movies of Japanese film makers. Aside from the films of Kurosawa Akira or Ozu Yasujirou, most people today have seen few classical films. Our goal is to understand Japanese Culture through reevaluation of Japanese films.
