1.Outline;
(1) Handcraft work: Understanding how to handle and use the machining tools and devices for cutting and shaving of metal material
(2) Measuring work: Learning how to handle and measure using various measuring tools and devices, as such a vernier, micro-meter, and dial gauge. Understanding how to use them for carrying out the measuring work of parts and components of automobiles.
(3) Chassis maintenance work: Through the disassembly/reassembly works of the driving devices and braking devices, such as clutch, differential gears, and so on. Understanding the structure, function and operation of them, and learning how to measure and adjust them. Students can acquire the knowledge, skill and behavior for DP2 to DP5.

Objectives
Objectives;
The objective of this course in practice for Automobile Maintenance is to understand and practice the following items;
(1) How to handle and how to use measuring devices and fundamental handcraft tools
(2) Structure, function and operation the drive train of automobiles which consists of clutch, drive shaft, differential gears and tires.
(3) Structure, function and operation of automobile brake systems

Grading Policy
Your final grade will be calculated according to the following process : Reports for tasks(45%), Learning Manner(5%) in class and The Term-end examination(50%). Students are required to submit the reports for tasks in the day of the Term-end examination.

Requirements (Assignments)
Students should study and summarize (1.5hr) the name of part and operation by reading textbook and documents by LMS and they also should review(1.5hr) based on the lectures and understand the content and then try to write a report.
6.
Note
The students have to attend the all the class. And students have to take a uniform, shoes and cap for safety reason.
This course will be taught in Japanese.
