Outline of this course
Gasoline Engine
-To run the engine and check the condition of the engine by measuring the engine speed, oil temperature, and so on.
-To learn the structure, operation and function of parts by disassembling components and parts from engine, and to inspect the condition of parts by measuring and sketching them.
-To assemble, run the engine by adjusting and checking its condition and return the engine to its original state.
Students can acquire the knowledge, skill and behavior for DP2 to DP5.

Objectives
The aim is to understand and practice the following items:
(1) To learn the structure, the function, the operation, and the name of parts of gasoline engine.
(2) To learn and practice the skill of disassemble of engine parts and components, adjustment method of them and assembly and equipment of them to the gasoline engine.
3.
Grading Policy
Your final grade will be calculated according to the following process : Reports for tasks(50%) and The Term-end examination(50%), by applying the deduction method for the Learning Manner in class. Students are required to submit the reports for tasks in the day of the Term-end examination.

Requirements (Assignments)
Students should study and summarize(1.5hr)the name of parts and operation reading textbook and documents and they also should review(1.5hr) based on the lectures and understand the content and then try to write a report.
6.
Note
The students have to attend the all the classes. And students have to take a uniform, shoes and cap for safety reason.
This course will be taught in Japanese.

Disassembling of Auxiliary Components and Timing Chain from Engine
4.
Disassembling of Cylinder Head, Cam Shaft, Intake & Exhaust Valves from Engine
5.
Disassembling of Pistons, Main Bearings and Crank Shaft from Engine
6.
Washing of each parts and components and confirmation of name of them
7.
Inspection and checking of the structure and operation of each parts and components

Good or Bad Judgment of the parts and components, by inspection and measurement of the operation of them

Good or Bad Judgment of the parts and components, by inspection and measurement of the operation of them

Assembling of Main Bearings, Pistons, Crank Shaft to Engine
