Outline
Students will learn about areas where air traffic control is carried out. Also, students will learn about the tasks and the utilization. Mainly, this course is a lecture style, but practical training may be held as needed. Please study knowledge and technique related to DP2.
2.
Objectives
Students will study about air traffic control systems currently in operation. Understand how aeronautical safety is secured by those systems. Also, please study the English vocabularies related to air traffic control and various rules.
3.
Grading Policy
This course is evaluated by the result of the exam (80%) and quizzes (20%).
The answer of each quiz will be explained.

Reference book: "AIM-j" (latest issue of JAPA, ISBN 978-4-931160-02-6)

Look up the meanings of assigned air traffic control vocabularies in notebooks, as preparation for next class.(1 hour)
Assignments to review will be given in each class. Accomplish them before next class.(2 hours)

12. Learn the flow of air traffic control (IFR)





13. Learn about safety support devices.





14. Emergency procedure, search and rescue, procedure malfunction of radio equipment.





15. Summary (Kanto airspace and air traffic control) / Final exam.
