Outline
In this course, we study modern and present day European and American history.
The format of this course is mainly “lecture”, but each month (namely, three times) the students will take a“review test” and participate in“group discussions” to develop essential abilities of communication and presentation.
This course is related to Educational Goals 1 and 3 of General Basic Subjects.
2.
Objectives
This course aims to :
1. Teach the “universality beyond the history” and “diversity due to the history” of human beings.
2. On the basis of this “universality” and “diversity”, acquire the abilities to understand the realities of the world and Japan, and the ability to foresee their futures.
3. Establish each student's own historical perspective with a view to develop the society and to behave in this society.
