This course is a general introduction to sociology. We will emphasis on understanding social problems. Some of the social problems that confront us today will be examined, including medicine, self-determination, family, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, inequality, and cultural reproduction. The course consists of general lectures. Students should also participate in class discussions.
