Outline
This is the lesson for international students in their sophomore year. By studying high-level textbook, you will improve your basic language ability of Japanese, for example listening the lecture and research at University in Japanese. After reading the data, you will be asked to check its grammar and practice by giving your opinion in Japanese. To remember some Japanese idioms, we will take several exams at the beginning of each class. You will also study Japanese utility idioms and treatment expression.This course corresponds to acquisition of 1 and 2 goals of basic subjects.

Objectives
You will acquire the ability to read and write sentences in Japanese. You will also acquire the fundamental ability of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test N1 passing.
3.
Grading Policy
Evaluation will be based on the results of the quizzes (30%), active participation and efforts in the class (20%), the intermediate test (20%) and the final exam (30%) scores. The passing line is 60% of the whole.

Textbook: "留学生のための時代を読み解く上級日本語 第2版"宮原彬,スリーエーネットワーク,2012 (ISBN 978-4-88319-625-8C0081)

Others: Handouts will be distributed as necessary.
5.
Requirements (Assignments)
1.After reading the text, if you find any word that you do not understand , you must use a dictionary to check.(over 30 minutes)
2.Please review "important expressions" and "vocabulary" you learned in the class within the day as possible.(40 minutes or more )
